BAXTER PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
HUDSON DEPOT DISTRICT | HUDSON, NY
A cornerstone of Hudson’s revitalization, the Hudson Depot District is the city’s first multifamily development with onsite amenities. Located just two blocks from Warren Street, this 72,000-square-foot project features 63 apartments and 5,000 square feet of commercial space. In partnership with the Galvan Foundation, we’re creating a high-quality, community-oriented development set to energize the neighborhood and drive local economic growth.
REGIONAL FOOD BANK OF NORTHEASTERN NEW YORK | MONTGOMERY, NY
In Montgomery, our work on the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York's new headquarters is nearing completion. This 50,000-square-foot facility will quadruple its storage capacity, enabling it to serve more communities across the Hudson Valley. With an early 2025 opening expected, this facility will significantly enhance food accessibility for thousands.
VASSAR COLLEGE FACULTY HOUSING | POUGHKEEPSIE, NY
We’re proud to have partnered with Vassar College on their new 40-unit faculty housing project. This four-story, 54,000-square-foot building is built with an all-electric infrastructure that includes EV charging stations. The structure’s resilient steel and concrete framework ensures superior durability and efficiency.
BAXTER MOMENT: A LOOK BACK AT NEWBURGH WIREWORKS
One year after receiving the ULI New York Award for Excellence in Mixed-Use Development, our Newburgh Wireworks project continues to be a celebrated example of adaptive reuse. This 1895 spring factory was transformed into a 21,000-square-foot live-work space, featuring artist studios, co-working areas, and loft-style apartments. Original features like exposed brick, timber trusses, and large thermal windows were preserved, while modern, energy-efficient systems were integrated. Wireworks honors Newburgh’s history and supports its growing creative community, setting a benchmark for urban revitalization in the Hudson Valley.
INDUSTRY INSIGHT: THE VALUE OF PRECONSTRUCTION IN 2024 AND BEYOND
As construction evolves, effective preconstruction planning is more important than ever. By identifying potential challenges early and refining project details before breaking ground, preconstruction helps us deliver projects on budget, on time, and with fewer obstacles. At Baxter, we leverage this phase to drive project success, improve collaboration, and ensure smooth project execution from start to finish.
